We’ve been SCOOPED again! Allure loves Rodan + Fields

Yes they’ve done it again! The beauty editors from Allure Magazine were given special preview samples of some of the new products coming out May 1st from Rodan + Fields Dermatologists and they just couldn’t keep the news to themselves.

On page 58 of the April edition, Allure editors weigh in on the new Foaming Self Tanner that will carry the R+F label. This newly developed tanner prolongs color by decreasing cell turnover. Allure editors said that they were able to achieve a good bronze after only their 2nd day of application. Yes they had a little color on their palms, but with more careful application I am certain that can be avoided.

How to Grow from Good to Great

One of my guilty pleasures has always been reading the fashion and celebrity magazines. I use them as a diversion while I am exercising on the elliptical machine, taking my mind away from my sore muscles as I continue to push on. I always flip straight to the back page to read my monthly horoscope. While my left brain tells me to remember my scientific training and dismiss horoscopes as “pookey-lookey” advice with predictions that are vague enough to apply to anyone, my right brain wants to believe it’s true. I especially enjoy the January issues which forecast the year ahead. I’m told with Jupiter and Uranus exiting the 10^th house and Jupiter entering Aries, this year will bring “outstanding career success.” Even though I have no clue what all of this means, I love the conclusion. On another page of this magazine I read “self-help and destiny have equal shares in our future.” Horoscopes with nice prophecies are one thing; but this quote sums up the guiding principle that I live by in both my personal and professional life.

As I tell my patients, you can change your skin’s destiny. While genetic s determine your bone structure, skin type and color, the TLC you give your skin makes a huge difference in the overall quality of your complexion.  Taking your skin from “good to great” generally doesn’t require a major overhaul like a resurfacing laser treatment or deep chemical peel. A minor tweak in your daily skincare routine, like incorporating active ingredients such as retinoids, peptides, alpha hydroxy acids and sunscreen, goes a long way toward addressing common aging issues like dull skin, wrinkling and uneven pigmentation. While change doesn’t   happen overnight, given a month, you should expect to see significant improvement. Just like daily physical activity helps you stay in shape, an effective skincare program requires ongoing use.

My patients have also heard me say “be your own dermatologist.”  By that I mean, from time to time, reassess your complexion and make changes as necessary. For example, your summertime oily, acne-prone T Zone may shift gears, becoming dry and chapped while withstanding the winter wind chill. So adding a barrier repairing moisturizer will calm and soothe your skin and allow you to continue using your acne medications without irritation.

When I opened the March issue of my favorite publication and saw these words, “success grows on the tree of persistence,” I nodded in agreement. Whether it is your complexion, career or personal relationship, going from “good to great” takes just a little extra effort on a daily basis.

Rodan+Fields Business Review – Don’t Join Before You Read This!

If you’re checking out this review, chances are you’re looking into the Rodan and Fields business opportunity and you’re thinking about becoming a distributor. Before you join, I want to encourage you to read this simple third party review so you can make an educated decision about the company and the business opportunity.

First of all, let’s go into some information on the actual company. Rodan and Fields is a company that sells various skin care products through a network marketing business model. The company was started in 2002 and was co-founded by Dr. Katie Rodan and Dr. Kathy Fields. Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields, who are both practicing dermatologists, have a tremendous amount of experience and documentation in the skin care arena. In fact, they are the creators of Proactive Solution, which is an extremely well-known and popular skin care product that’s been in the market for a long time. Needless to say, the co-founders are considered to be two experts in the field, which brings a ton of credibility to the company. Besides the co-founders, the company also has a very experienced management team that has 160 years of combined experience in business and direct selling. On top of that, the California based company is a proud member of the Direct Selling Association (DSA), which gives them more credibility as only the most industry compliant companies are given membership. Overall, the company looks to have a solid infrastructure to support future growth and expansion.

When it comes to their products, Rodan and Fields markets various product lines that address specific skin care problems. While there are too many individual products to mention, I’ll give you  a simplified rundown of the company’s different product lines. The first product line is called Reverse, which is comprised of products that erase the signs of premature aging and sun damage. The second product line is called Anti-Age, which is comprised of products that treat wrinkles and enlarged pores. The third product line is called Unblemish, which is made up of products that treat acne. The fourth product line is called Soothe, which contains products that treat irritated skin. In addition, the company also sells various gauze pads, sunscreen and other skin care goods.

Now, let’s cover the company’s opportunity. The compensation plan provides 4 ways to get paid. You can make upfront income through retail profits and personal commissions. You can also build residual income through the company’s 5-level override payout. In addition, there are several performance bonuses you can qualify for based on your production. All in all, the compensation plan is quite fair and, for the right person, it can be a fun and lucrative business venture.

In closing, Rodan and Fields is a very credible company and has a great business opportunity. However, contrary to what you may have been told, that has very little to do with whether you will be successful or not. While it’s obviously beneficial to you to have a strong and stable company supporting you, what really determines whether you will succeed or not, is your ability to personally recruit other people into your business, your ability to effectively market products on a consistent basis and your ability to build a strong group of downline distributors. And, one of the biggest factors to accomplishing those three things is your ability to market. If you don’t have a clue about marketing, you will have to rely on your team to educate you, you will have to be trainable...to grow! It’s vital to your success that you get the right marketing training so you can brand yourself and generate an endless flow of quality leads. Of course, you can build your business solely using old school, traditional, offline techniques but, for the average person, calling on your existing friends and family will only take you so far. If you can successfully combine effective offline techniques with the ability to generate leads online, there’s no telling how successful your business can be.
